Kasawuli John Kennedy Kasumba

Kasawuli has proven work experience in conducting various value for money assessment in Engineering works thereby attaining relevant skills in assessment for efficiency, effectiveness and economic utilization of resources, determining progress of the works against time, assessment of existence and effectiveness of internal controls for certification and payment of executed works, assessment of the quality of works implemented, assessment of the utilization of the infrastructure, assessment for the fulfilment of environmental and impact requirements, Health & safety impact reporting.

Key Activities

• Supervision, and coordinating construction of reinforced concrete & other structures
• Planning, organizing, directing and controlling resources assigned to best accomplish civil works
• Examining and checking drawings & specifications for compliance with relevant codes & regulations
• Coordinating & performing constructability reviews of drawings & specifications
• Supervising work in progress for quality assurance & adherence to contract drawings and specifications
• Promoting health and safety on site as well as managing safety meetings with staff.

Relevant Experience

1. January 2023 to date: Undertaking a feasibility study, preliminary design and detailed engineering design of the Kabwohe-Bugongi-Kitagata-Kabira-Rukungiri/Ruhinda-Kashenshero-Mitooma Road (99.2km) and the town roads of Kabwohe, Rukungiri and Mitooma on behalf of Uganda National Roads Authority.
2. January 2022 - 2023: Conducted a Value for Money Audit/assessment of Municipalities participating in the Uganda Support to Municipal Infrastructure Development for the Financial Years 2019/2020 & 2020/2021 on behalf of the Office of the Auditor General.
3. October 2015 - January 2016: Provided Independent Assurance that the monies allocated for selected Term and Periodic Maintenance road activities were judiciously applied for the intended purpose on behalf of Uganda National Roads Authority.

• Higher Diploma in Construction - Kyambogo University
• Bachelors Degree in Civil and Building Engineering - Kyambogo University
• Master of Business Administration - Leicester University, United Kingdom
• Registered Engineer with the Engineers Registration Board of Uganda.
• Member of the Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE)
• Member of the Institute of Civil Engineers of United Kingdom (ICE)
